Dana sits down with Francesca Granata to talk about her book Experimental Fashion: Performance Art, Carnival and the Grotesque Body. They discuss designers like Rei Kawakubo of Comme des, Garçons, unpack Mikhail Bakhtin's theory on the grotesque, and analyze Leigh Bowery's and Lady Gaga's unique costumes.

Currently, Granta is the Director of the MA Fashion Studies and Assistant Professor in the School of Art and Design History and Theory at Parsons School of Design.
